Smoke on the Water $100,000 ARKANSAS BARBECUE CHALLENGE Money’s not the most important thing in life, love is. Fortunately we love money. The stakes have been raised on our quest for the best. Introducing Smoke on the Water’s $100,000 Arkansas Barbecue Challenge. Six figures. Two premiere contests. One big winner. The first challenge begins May 9 & 10 in Pine Bluff on the shores of beautiful Lake Saracen and ends September 19 & 20 with a true Arkansas champion being crowned at Hot Springs National Park. With $50,000 prize money at each competition, we’re spreading the love by paying through twenty places in all four categories (pork, ribs, brisket and chicken) and the top ten overall teams. Our Grand Champion’s purse of $10,000 is one of the country’s largest, best sauce pays out $1,750 and all judges are certified. If your team accepts the challenge and competes in both contests, a combined $5,000 bonus will be awarded to the top five teams with the highest combined scores from both contests.
